13th August 2007 Windsurfing: Calshot Wind Direction: sw Wind Stength: 15+ Surf / Sea State: mod chop Air Temperature: 20 Sea Temperature: 18 Weather: sunny Max Speed: 26 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 17.9 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) We sailed at Calshot(nr Southampton) for the first time.Rigging up near high water with 6.6 on my Xantos I had 2 mega blasts over to the Isle of Wight approx 3 miles each way out with the yachts and ferries.It was very choppy out in the middle of the Solent!!! It got better as the tide dropped when a shallow lagoon formed ,then Rob went out with 5.6 on the Lightning.It then got too shallow to sail. |
